Volunteers

Killara Gardens has some great opportunities for people of all ages to join our team as a volunteer. Volunteering is a lot of fun and a great way to make new friends and be part of the local community.

  • Are you a student seeking to gain work experience in Aged Care?
  • Retired and looking to put your skills into a new found interest with the elderly?
  • Want to dedicate some time and effort to a worthwhile group of people and provide social visits and companionship to our residents?

The commitment required to be a volunteer can be as little as 1 hour a fortnight or as much as you can spare.  Some of our volunteers assist with administration duties, entertaining the residents with dance, music or song, facilitating activities with the residents such as art, teaching computer skills, and assisting residents on outings.

If you would like to join our volunteer team please call the administration team 02 9418 5200 to discuss what opportunities you might enjoy.
